Follow the link above for more information and application materials – deadline to apply for the next class is May 15, 2018, but best to apply ASAP to avoid a waitlist. Please note that The Power of Awareness course is a prerequisite. Go to “The Training Program” for more information.
About the previously-offered MTTI:
The Meditation Teacher Training Institute (MTTI) was created in 2011 to meet the steady increase in popular interest in meditation by selecting and training qualified, long-term, dedicated practitioners in the greater Washington D.C. region to teach it. The curriculum was drawn largely from the Theravada Buddhist tradition but was steeped in practices applicable in most secular and religious domains.
On Oct. 13, 2013, fifty-eight graduates successfully completed the intensive two-year program, which included studies and training in insight and mindfulness mediation, as well as practices of loving-kindness, joy, compassion, and equanimity. They are now certified as teachers of meditation, and are teaching in a wide array of settings and to a variety of different populations.
Please explore this site to learn more information about the two-year program, our graduates, where they are teaching, and how to contact them.
